Professional Responsibilities Mr. Abdulraouf Al-Imam serves as a full-time lecturer at the University of Sharia Sciences, where he teaches Qur’an studies across the entire college curriculum. He is responsible for teaching all four academic levels in both the Faculty of Usul al-Din and the Faculty of Sharia, specifically within the Departments of Hadith and Its Sciences, and Fiqh and Its Foundations. In addition, he supervises graduation projects for fourth-year students and is actively engaged in academic research in the field of Qur’anic studies and the sciences of the Qur’an. Professional Career Prior to joining the University of Tripoli and subsequently the University of Sharia Sciences, Abdulraouf Al-Imam completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli, where he obtained a Master’s degree in 2017. He had previously graduated from the Open University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in 2004. Thereafter, he worked in several educational institutions, teaching students across various academic levels and school grades. Research Interests Abdulraouf Al-Imam has prepared numerous academic papers and studies within his field of specialization during his undergraduate studies, postgraduate diploma studies, and throughout his service as a faculty member at the University of Sharia Sciences, until attaining the academic rank of Lecturer. External Activities Abdulraouf Al-Imam has been involved in Qur’an memorization and instruction since the age of seventeen and continues to serve in this field intermittently up to the present day in various mosques and Qur’anic centers. He has also obtained several ijazahs (traditional scholarly certifications) in Qur’an memorization and teaching, including: An ijazah authorizing the teaching of the Qur’an according to the narration of Qalun from Nafi‘ al-Madani, obtained in 1990. An ijazah certifying complete memorization of the Qur’an according to the narration of Qalun from Nafi‘ al-Madani, obtained in 1999. Both certifications were granted at Tariq ibn Ziyad Mosque in the Ghout Al-Shaal area of Tripoli. He also participated in the recitation of a complete Qur’anic khatma organized by the Libyan Qur’an Radio in cooperation with the Awqaf Administration of Hayy Al-Andalus.
